Happ agreed to a two-year, $8.9 million contract on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The new deal supersedes the one-year contract Happ reached in January to avoid salary arbitration and includes a club option for 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Happ, 30, went a combined 10-11 with a 4.79 earned run average in 28 games last season for Houston and Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>The left-hander has posted a 1.90 ERA in seven appearances this spring training.<\/p>\n<p>For his career, Happ has compiled a 35-35 record with a 4.19 ERA in 116 games (96 starts) with Philadelphia, Houston and Toronto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dunedin, FL (Sports Network) &#8211; The Toronto Blue Jays and pitcher J.A.
