He initially sustained the injury while sliding in Toronto&#8217;s 2-1 victory over Boston on Thursday, then had his hip tighten up in the team&#8217;s 8-4 loss to New York in Tuesday&#8217;s opener.<\/p>\n<p>The two-time home run champion exited the game after three innings.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;His hip flared up on him,&#8221; Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said afterward. &#8220;He felt it a couple of days ago and didn&#8217;t think it was that big of a deal, so he was able to play.
