{"id":3027,"date":"2013-07-30T12:24:00","date_gmt":"2013-07-30T12:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.stub.com\/hq\/news\/rangers-reach-deal-with-zuccarello\/"},"modified":"2013-07-30T12:24:00","modified_gmt":"2013-07-30T12:24:00","slug":"rangers-reach-deal-with-zuccarello","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/rangers-reach-deal-with-zuccarello\/","title":{"rendered":"Rangers reach deal with Zuccarello"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York, NY (Sports Network) &#8211; The New York Rangers avoided arbitration with forward Mats Zuccarello by agreeing to terms with the restricted free agent on a reported one-year contract on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>TSN of Canada stated that Zuccarello, whose arbitration hearing had been scheduled for Wednesday, will earn $1.15 million for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n<p>Zuccarello had three goals and five assists while recording a plus-10 rating in 15 regular-season games with the Rangers during the lockout-shortened 2013 campaign, then tallied a goal and six helpers over 12 playoff contests.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old Norwegian began last season with Magnitogorsk Metallurg of Russia&#8217;a Kontinental Hockey League before re-joining the Rangers in late March.<\/p>\n<p>Zuccarello initially signed with New York in 2010 and registered six goals and 17 assists over 42 games as a rookie with the Blueshirts in 2010-11.
