The track announced its complete stakes schedule Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Delaware Handicap has always been an important date on the national filly and mare stake schedule and last year was no exception,&#8221; said Executive Director of Racing John Mooney.<\/p>\n<p>Last year&#8217;s Del &#8216;Cap, run at 1 1\/4 miles, was won in an upset by Belle Gallantey over the favored Princess of Sylmar. Belle Gallantey would go on to capture the Beldame Handicap at Belmont Park.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With her impressive win over Princess of Sylmar, Belle Gallantey established herself as a major contender in the division last year and I congratulate her connections on their successful 2014 campaign,&#8221; Mooney continued. &#8220;We look forward to another exciting Delaware Handicap in 2015.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Coming up one week before the Del &#8216;Cap will be the $300,000 Delaware Oaks on Saturday, July 11.
