{"id":29009,"date":"2015-01-28T13:25:00","date_gmt":"2015-01-28T13:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/blue-jackets-place-f-morin-on-ir\/"},"modified":"2015-01-28T23:50:42","modified_gmt":"2015-01-28T23:50:42","slug":"blue-jackets-place-f-morin-on-ir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/blue-jackets-place-f-morin-on-ir\/","title":{"rendered":"Blue Jackets place F Morin on IR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) &#8211; The Columbus Blue Jackets placed forward Jeremy Morin on injured reserve Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Morin will be sidelined indefinitely with an upper-body injury, general manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Columbus Dispatch, Kekalainen said Morin complained of an accelerated heart rate and was taken by ambulance to a Columbus hospital during the second intermission of the Blue Jackets&#8217; 4-3 win over Washington on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Kekalainen said Morin&#8217;s resting heart rate wasn&#8217;t going down but that the situation was &#8220;nothing serious&#8221; and he was expected to be released from the hospital on Wednesday, according to the paper.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not sure if he&#8217;s going to need further tests or not, but everything was fine,&#8221; Kekalainen said. &#8220;His heart rate calmed while he was being tested at the hospital.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old Morin has a goal and two assists in 17 games for the Blue Jackets since being acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks on Dec. 14.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) &#8211; The Columbus Blue Jackets placed forward Jeremy Morin on injured reserve Wednesday.
