{"id":2778,"date":"2013-07-23T18:36:00","date_gmt":"2013-07-23T18:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.stub.com\/hq\/news\/indians-activate-mcallister-to-start-tuesday\/"},"modified":"2013-07-23T18:36:00","modified_gmt":"2013-07-23T18:36:00","slug":"indians-activate-mcallister-to-start-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/indians-activate-mcallister-to-start-tuesday\/","title":{"rendered":"Indians activate McAllister to start Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seattle, WA (Sports Network) &#8211; The Cleveland Indians activated pitcher Zach McAllister from the 15-day disabled list and named him the starter for Tuesday&#8217;s matchup with the Seattle Mariners.<\/p>\n<p>McAllister hasn&#8217;t pitched for the Tribe since June 2, when he was lifted for five runs &#8212; four earned &#8212; on seven hits and four walks over 4 1\/3 frames during an 11-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old right-hander was placed on the DL the next day with a sprained middle finger on his pitching hand.<\/p>\n<p>Over 11 starts prior to the injury, McAllister went 4-5 with a 3.43 earned run average.<\/p>\n<p>To make room for McAllister, the Indians optioned pitcher C.C.
