He averaged 8.7 points per game in 34 contests a season ago, missing four games because of a stress reaction in his right foot that also limited the 6-foot-2 guard in several other contests late in the season.<\/p>\n<p>The injury puts into question Gesell&#8217;s status for Iowa&#8217;s six exhibition games scheduled to be played overseas in mid-August.
