{"id":25424,"date":"2014-11-05T15:48:00","date_gmt":"2014-11-05T15:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/eagles-activate-mathis-put-herremans-on-ir\/"},"modified":"2014-11-05T15:48:00","modified_gmt":"2014-11-05T15:48:00","slug":"eagles-activate-mathis-put-herremans-on-ir","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/eagles-activate-mathis-put-herremans-on-ir\/","title":{"rendered":"Eagles activate Mathis, put Herremans on IR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) &#8211; The Philadelphia Eagles will get one of their starting offensive linemen back for Monday&#8217;s game against the Carolina Panthers, but won&#8217;t have another for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n<p>On the same day the team took All-Pro guard Evan Mathis off the injured reserve\/designated to return list, the Eagles placed veteran guard Todd Herremans on IR due to a reported torn biceps.<\/p>\n<p>Mathis sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in the season opener and has missed Philadelphia&#8217;s last seven games with the injury. The 2013 Pro Bowl selection was first eligible to be activated this week.<\/p>\n<p>Herremans, the Eagles&#8217; longest tenured player who has made 124 starts over his 10 seasons with the organization, sustained his injury in the Eagles&#8217; Week 8 loss at Arizona.
