He stayed on his feet and eventually went to first after a brief discussion with a trainer.<\/p>\n<p>However, after a Miguel Cabrera strikeout, Cano gingerly walked off the field under his own power, and Dustin Pedroia replaced him on the basepaths.<\/p>\n<p>X-Rays taken of Cano&#8217;s knee came back negative, and he was diagnosed with a right quad contusion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t want to aggravate it,&#8221; Cano said. &#8220;You just want to be out of the game and put it on ice the next two days. &#8230; You don&#8217;t want to make that worse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cano hit .302 with 21 home runs and 65 RBI while playing all 95 games for the fourth-place Yankees prior to the break.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flushing, NY (Sports Network) &#8211; The already short-handed New York Yankees saw their lone position All-Star, Robinson Cano, exit the Midsummer Classic after taking a Matt Harvey fastball off his right leg.
