Recovery time is estimated at 6-to-8 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It went very well and very straight forward. As good news goes, this is as good as we can get,&#8221; said Phils general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr.<\/p>\n<p>Darin Ruf will continue to get an extended look at first base in Howard&#8217;s absence.
