He entered Tuesday&#8217;s start against Washington with a record of 7-5 and a 3.62 ERA in 14 starts this season.<\/p>\n<p>The Orioles designated pitcher Julio DePaula for assignment. The 31-year-old right-hander had his contract selected from Double-A Bowie on Monday, but did not pitch against the Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>DePaula had surrendered just three hits with eight strikeouts over 6 1\/3 scoreless innings at Bowie after signing with the Orioles in late June.
