Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Miami Marlins infielder Rafael Furcal has made his way back to the disabled list.<\/p>\n
Furcal came up limping after trying to run out a double-play grounder in the third inning of Saturday’s game against the New York Mets. Furcal was replaced by Jeff Baker at second base when the fourth inning started.<\/p>\n
He was placed on the 15-day DL Sunday with a left hamstring strain.<\/p>\n
The 36-year-old Furcal has played in just nine games this season, as he was activated from the 60-day disabled list recently after suffering a hamstring injury in spring training.<\/p>\n
He missed all of last season while with the St. Louis Cardinals recovering from Tommy John surgery.<\/p>\n
