Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford exited Tuesday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds in the eighth inning after sustaining a left ankle sprain.<\/p>\n
Crawford injured the ankle while chasing down Chris Heisey’s two-out double into the left-field corner. The Los Angeles outfielder appeared to slip on the grass just before the warning track and rolled his left ankle.<\/p>\n
Crawford limped to the ball and fired it into the infield before calling for the trainer, who helped him hobble to the dugout.<\/p>\n
“My leg just slipped and it swelled up real quick,” Crawford said following the Dodgers’ 6-3 win. “They’re going to put me on the disabled list. I think it’s going to take a while.”<\/p>\n
