The 6-foot-5 San Antonio native caught 106 passes for a record 1,352 receiving yards last season, breaking the all-time FBS mark for yards by a tight end set in 2008 by Rice&#8217;s James Casey (1,329).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On the visit I felt like I really fit in there,&#8221; said Amaro. &#8220;I honestly thought I was going to get picked in the first round by them. &#8230; The place where I wanted to play was in New York and to be a Jet, and I&#8217;m just glad it happened in the second round and it&#8217;s something that I&#8217;m very fortunate for.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Saunders was the first of three wide receivers selected by New York on day 3.
