Hyogo, Japan (SportsNetwork.com) – Hiroyuki Fujita parred the first playoff hole on Sunday to defeat Sang-Hyun Park and win the Tsuruya Open.<\/p>\n
Fujita shot 4-under 67 to end at 13-under-par 271. Park had gotten in the clubhouse first as he fired a 7-under 64 to end at minus-13.<\/p>\n
The pair returned to the 18th, where Fujita’s par was enough for his 16th tour win on the Yamanohara Course at Yamanohara Golf Club.<\/p>\n
Park birdied four of five holes from the fifth to make the turn 10-under. He wrapped birdies at 13 and 15 around a bogey on the 14th. Park jumped to minus-13 with an eagle on No. 17, then he waited to see what Fujita would do.<\/p>\n
Fujita had three birdies the first six holes to move to minus-12. Around the turn, he stumbled to a double bogey on the par-3 11th, but fought back with three birdies in a four-hole span from the 13th to gain a share of the lead. Fujita parred the final two holes before collecting the title in the playoff.<\/p>\n
Hideto Tanihara (64) and Michael Hendry (69) shared third place at minus-12. Shingo Katayama closed with a 70 to end at 10-under 274. He was joined there Tomohiro Kondo (65), Hyung-Sung Kim (67) and I.J. Jang (68).<\/p>\n
