Maybe it came to a close when Brian Wilson imploded for the Dodgers on Sunday in a loss to San Diego?

I’m so confused.

This I know, though: Now that the New York Yankees and Houston Astros played on Tuesday, all 30 teams are officially in the books.

With that said, let’s give some knee-jerk reactions to what has transpired in the first few days. And what better way to do it than in a format that is the ultimate in knee-jerk reactions. Twitter, of course.

So, in 140 characters or less. Give or take, of course. Here we go:

@Angels: Going out on a limb, but I have a feeling Mike Scioscia won’t be there to see that Mike Trout contract through.

@Astros: They say the talent is coming. Let’s hope so because regardless of outcome that is not a major league team that was on field Tuesday

@Athletics: The last thing this injury-riddled starting rotation needed was a rainout and doubleheader in the first week.

@BlueJays: If you had the first at-bat in your “When Jose Reyes gets injured pool” you not only win, but are probably a creep.

@Braves: The good news for the Braves is that they were able to make it through Opening Day without anyone leaving for Tommy John surgery

@Brewers: Brewers fans should be ashamed of themselves. You’d have thought Ryan Braun was returning from Afghanistan with the reception Miller Park gave him.

@Cardinals: Adam Wainwright is going to win the NL Cy Young Award this season. That’s it.

@Cubs: If you only saw Jeff Samardzija on Opening Day you too would think he could be an ace. You’d be wrong though.

@Dbacks: Did you know that Paul Goldschmidt is riding a 23-game hitting streak?

@Dodgers: It’s already starting. Clayton Kershaw likely to be out longer than expected

@Indians: Justin Masterson could make himself a lot of money this year.

@Mariners: Robbie Cano looks real good now. Talk to me in August when the Mariners are 20 games out of first place.

@Marlins: Nathan Eovaldi could be a breakout star for the Marlins this season. If that happens they could be an NL sleeper.

@Mets: On the bright side Dillon Gee looked good on Monday. The downside is that closer Bobby Parnell is probably done for the year.

@Nationals: If Anthony Rendon hits the Nats are going to be real good. Losing Wilson Ramos for a month is a killer though.

@Orioles: I am not so sure that Tommy Hunter is about that closing life. Shaky in Game 1, but we will see.

@Padres: Andrew Cashner will probably help a team make the playoffs one year. It won’t be the Padres, though.

@Phillies: Cliff Lee won’t get many more wins when surrendering eight runs

@Pirates: Nice passing of the torch moment between Barry Bonds and Andrew McCutchen on Monday. It’s like the last 20 years never happened now.

@Rangers: So that Tanner Scheppers thing didn’t quite work out, huh? Yu Darvish getting close to returning, though.

@RaysBaseball: Rays lock up another young stud. RHP Chris Archer agrees to 6- year, $25.5 million extension.

@Reds: Hard to gauge the Reds right now with so many injuries, but Johnny Cueto looked real good on Monday.

@RedSox: Grady Sizemore is going to be the best story in baseball this season. Or he’s going to go on the DL in the next week or so.

@Rockies: The Rockies should thank the Cubs for being in the National League because other than them they are the worst team in the league.

@Royals: The bandwagon is starting to fill up in Kansas City. I admit it, I am on it.

@SFGiants: If you knew that Neifi Perez was the last Giant with at least 4 RBI in first two games before Brandon Belt, you need to get out more.

@Tigers: I am still trying to wrap my head around why the Tigers felt the need to extend Miguel Cabrera with 2 years left on his deal.

@Twins: Good sign for Twins that Aaron Hicks had two hits on Opening Day. He started his career 2-for-48 a year ago.

@WhiteSox: White Sox had five players make their first Opening Day starts on Monday.

@Yankees: This Derek Jeter Farewell Tour is going to get real old in May if he is hitting .230.

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Opening Day is in the books.
