{"id":16886,"date":"2014-03-29T19:05:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-29T19:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/howard-to-miss-rockets-clippers-tilt\/"},"modified":"2014-03-29T19:05:00","modified_gmt":"2014-03-29T19:05:00","slug":"howard-to-miss-rockets-clippers-tilt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stub.com\/hq\/news\/howard-to-miss-rockets-clippers-tilt\/","title":{"rendered":"Howard to miss Rockets-Clippers tilt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) &#8211; Dwight Howard will not play for the Houston Rockets in Saturday&#8217;s game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a lingering ankle injury that also caused the All-Star center to miss time earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Howard sat out three games with a sore left ankle before returning to action Monday at Charlotte, then recorded 17 points and 13 rebounds in Thursday&#8217;s rout of Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>Though the Rockets have deemed Howard day-to-day, Clippers television announcer Ralph Lawler tweeted prior to Saturday&#8217;s matchup that Howard told him he would be sidelined for around 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>Houston had previously ruled out starting point guard Patrick Beverley, who hurt his right knee against the 76ers and is currently sidelined indefinitely.
