He tried to play through the pain, but missed Wednesday&#8217;s win over Philadelphia before it was decided the surgery was needed.<\/p>\n<p>The 22-year-old Massachusetts native has totaled 17 goals and 20 assists over 66 games in his first full NHL campaign.
