Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was arrested in Atlantic City, N.J., over the weekend following an alleged altercation with his fiancee at a casino, according to a report.<\/p>\n
A statement from police says officers were called to the Revel Casino early Saturday morning after a domestic dispute involving Rice and Janay Palmer broke out, according to the Baltimore Sun.<\/p>\n
Both were charged with simple assault-domestic violence and were released on a summons to appear in court.<\/p>\n
The Ravens released a statement regarding the situation Sunday night:<\/p>\n
“We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiancee. We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained.”<\/p>\n
