Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – The Colorado Avalanche announced Wednesday that injured forward Alex Tanguay will accompany the team on their upcoming three-game road trip, the latest step in the veteran’s comeback from knee and hip injuries.<\/p>\n
Tanguay has been sidelined since Nov. 2, when he injured his knee in a game against Montreal, but has been practicing the past two weeks and could be back in the lineup when Colorado visits Florida on Friday.<\/p>\n
As a sign that the 34-year-old sniper is close to a return, the Avalanche reassigned forward Brad Malone to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate in Lake Erie.<\/p>\n
