It was when the North Stars moved to Dallas in 1993 that the people of Minnesota were promised a replacement franchise to fill the void. After professional hockey resumed, the Wild made the playoffs for a second time in 2007. Since this season, the Wild have grown into a fan favorite of the people in Minnesota as the franchise is not plagued with the same financial and gate troubles the North Stars faced. The team continues to add talent and expects to make a deep run into the playoffs in upcoming seasons.
