The 1980's dynasty saw the Lakers bring home five NBA titles under Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabaar. The 2000's were highlighted by the play of Kobe Bryant who is considered the best basketball player in the league. The 2000's Lakers added another five NBA titles to their trophy case giving them a grand total of 17 NBA championships since 1949.
